Overview of over the counter products and medications (OTCs). The goal for the course is to review commonly used OTCs and herbal supplements with a focus on disease state management using over the counter medications. This course will provide guidance and assistance in selecting products, patient's education taking into account patient  medication and health history. A detailed discussions about warning and toxicities of some of the commonly used herbals in the USA market.  The course will serve as well as a preparatory material for pharmacists planning to take the American Board or Canadian Board pharmacy licensure exam.

The initial lecture will be starting on 10/16/20 that is offered for free, and subsequent detailed lecture will be offered in a course format that will focus on disease management using over the counter products, what pharmacist can do to educate patients choosing the right products for self care and avoid hospital and doctor visits while minimizing adverse events and toxicities.
