I think he technician not allowed to recommend anything , it’s the pharmacist role so nothing else except reading whats on the drug if needed @mohamedhabash

    I agree with @rawan-ee

I Believe the technician should not express his medical opinion or recommend any therapy of any kind to any patient

Maybe if the patient asked him: is this syrup sugar free? In this case he can answer him

Do you consider this as a medical advice?

We have some herbal cough syrup considered as OTC containing herbals, right?

In my question ,I say recommend for a patient the same drug but sugar free type.

He can do that while the assistant can not do.

I do consider this as medical advice since it’s a recommendation.

    That’s bit confusing

It is just a sugar free product, he does not change the medication.

Where is the medical advice or the medical decision ?

It’s all about the word “recommend”

So recommending sugar free syrup (already prescribed by physician or pharmacist ) is acceptable . Even though the patient has Diabetes its still considered just recommendation and not medical intervention?!

yes, it is just a recommendation and 100% the final decision will be taken by the pharmacist.
